Film Lovers Can Give Into Temptations This Miami Film Month
As part of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau Miami Temptations Program, our city continues to pull out all the stops to ensure that both locals and visitors experience Miami’s best temptations year-round.
June, celebrated as Miami Film Month, is a month-long observation of the best independent house cinemas like Miami Beach Cinematheque and O Cinema, endless not-to-miss screenings, and the best film festivals happening year-round (hint: Miami Fashion Film Festival, scheduled for September 2016).
Orchestrated are many great ways to experience film this June 1-30, 2016. Film buffs can take advantage of discounted ticket offers at local art cinemas and enjoy new film programming across the city such as the Perez Art Museum Miami debut of a new film installation by artist Stan Douglas.
The month also boasts many opportunities for filmmakers including a film contest, in partnership with Cinevisun, to highlight Miami’s multi-cultural culinary scene as well as filmmakers grant opportunities, including funds available to support female filmmakers in South Florida through the Women’s Film Fund, a Miami Film Development Project.
